Here at Shaggy Bottom Farm, in the mountains of Virginia, we raise grass fed meat observing regenerative farming practices in harmony with the land. Our meat is pastured all year round, humanely raised and never fed hormones, antibiotics or vaccines. We have a small herd of Scottish Highland and Belted Galloway cattle, known for their lean meat. Hogs are heritage breeds, either Gloucester Old Spot or an Old Spot/Tamworth mix. Our meat is sold by whole, half or quarter beef and whole or half hog. Price is based per lb of hanging weight (before full processing). Cut sheets will be supplied for orders. We wait until we have a full animal spoken for before confirming an order. A deposit is required for $500 upon confirmation of order. USDA is available upon request for resale purposes. We do not sell by the cut and have no space for storing meat on your behalf.
